This Creek Week, CWEP is hosting BioThon Bingo, a virtual event focused on stream ecology! iNaturalist is a platform that allows people to document and share observations of plants and animals, supporting species identification and conservation efforts, making it a great tool for participants to connect with their local waterways and aquatic life.

Learn how to use iNaturalist through a free webinar in partnership with the Museum of Natural Sciences.
How to Participate
- Participants must be at least 13 years old and located in North Carolina. Those under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Download the iNaturalist app on your phone or visit https://www.inaturalist.org/
- Create a profile and join our project page at https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/cwep-biothon-bingo

- Head outside this March and discover streamside plants and animals in your area!
CWEP Categories & Prizes
Prize Categories:
- Top 50 Connect 4 (CWEP Magnet – while supplies last)
- Random raffle for all entries (4 CWEP Blanket)
- Top 3 most observations made (Native Sapling from Project Pando)

Magnets and Blankets will be delivered via mail. Saplings will be delivered in-person by CWEP staff.
