What types of programs does CWEP administer?

CWEP serves its members and the citizens of the region by administering programs related to stormwater pollution, water quality issues, and water conservation through mass media, public education and direct outreach services. Our goal is to communicate to the general public the importance of clean water for themselves and the surrounding environment. Check out this engaging menu outlining all of the materials and programs CWEP offers!

How is CWEP funded?

CWEP is governed by a Steering Committee that is composed of representatives from each partner jurisdiction or agency. Subcommittees work on various public outreach and education activities. As of 2018, there are 37 government partners in CWEP. Together, these organizations provide all of the regular, ongoing funding support for the program.

You have a lot of awesome material! Can I use them, even if I don’t live in a CWEP community?

Absolutely. We are a governmental organization and our materials are ultimately funded by tax payer dollars. Please feel free to download and distribute our materials as you see fit. We work very hard on our outreach materials. Please don’t edit our name or contact information. If you live in a CWEP community and would like personalized materials, please let us know. We will happily do whatever we can to meet your needs.

How do I schedule a program?

For a first step, we recommend checking out our schedule on the Calendar of Events page to see when our availability is. If we are free for programming on your date of interest, you can easily schedule a program with the Clean Water Education Partnership by filling out our General Program Request Form. If you are a teacher that is interested in having us facilitate a program for your classroom, please navigate to the “Teachers” tab to fill out our School Program Request Form. You can also use this contact page to reach out!

Also feel free to check out our program & service menu which outlines all the materials, programs and services CWEP has to offer!

Are your programs free?

If you live, or would like programming in one of our member jurisdictions, there is no charge for our services. We typically provide all supplies including table swag, maps, art supplies, etc. If you live outside our member jurisdictions, please let us know you are interested in programming. We may know someone in your area who provides similar programs, or your local government may be willing to pay a one-time fee for our services.
